I find that claim nonsense. It wasn't called China back then. it was tons of different dynasties that broke up all the time. By that measure Germany is 2500 years old. Current China is the People's Republic of China - which is communistic and has very little in common with dynasties 4000 years ago.

It was my mistake too until not too long ago. Surprising how many things we assume are true. The sharpening ax quote “by Lincoln” is another example. The misinfo is more pervasive on that one though.
