Trump may be required to convey orders "through" the Governor, but the governor has no ability to countermand the order to federalize, that role is purely ministerial. The Guard is actually sworn to both the state and federal government, and federal interests are superior.
Keep your eyes on this, you may be mistaken on actual points of law.
Once the president federalizes the Guard, they work for him. They no longer work for the governor. Period, end of story. Courts have upheld this without any drama every time the issue has come up.

The ONLY way that the president unilaterally can take over the NG of a state or states is to invoke the Insurrection Act and that law has certain conditions that must be met before it can be invoked.

The president must issue the order through the governor. The governor does not have the ability to refuse to convey the order. It's quite possible the court will require the president to specifically issue the order to Newsom. But it doesn't matter. Newsom must convey the order faithfully.

As a rule, soldiers are not trained for law enforcement. They have no idea what law makes something illegal or when that law can be enforced. They do not have civilian use of force training. Even MPs are generally trained only to enforce *military* law.

Why hasn't he and his Nazi regime not been removed and put in prison??? He is a traitor to our country. He breaks the law and defies the constitution, and he can't be stopped? Our constitution needs work!
