Kerr County had the warnings. I don’t know where it went from there. After this horrific flooding subsides, there needs to be self reflection with their emergency responders on why people inside the flood zone weren’t warned about flash flooding.

The Hill country of Texas is susceptible to flash floods in Spring/Summer every year. They know what to expect - but it takes employees in place to track it. DOGE is to blame.
The NWS office actually WAS well staffed with additional people because of the storm. But they also sent out numerous warnings that were ignored by officials and locals. This is a case in support of increasing staffing AND actually listening to them.
