I’ve seen a lots of posts about this. What I haven’t yet seen: Who _specifically_ made this call? Not “the IRS,” but the _individual_ whose name is signed on a policy change. IRS rules come via the House, who controls the Purse. So, this IRS “policy” seems illegal. lawshun.com/article/who-...

Churches have always had the right to endorse, but they have been expected to pay tax like any other business if they do. Since most have been in violation for decades now, and the distinction cannot be enforced. It is time to revoke this law altogether regarding churches. Make them pay tax.
