What I think you/we are seeing is something fundamental about human nature. We all want to believe that we would never stand for *that*. But the reality is, for most people at least, we won’t act until it personally affects us. At which point it is too late.

No 100x times more difficult to organize without a charismatic and politically savvy leader. India made a general strike work because they had the backing of strong labor unions and they were led by Ghandi. USA doesn't have either one of those. Some unions backed trump and where is a leader?
