My second cousin owns an HVAC business in Acworth, GA. He’s the most outspoken MAGA relative in the family. He screams about “illegals” invading the country. He also brags about hiring undocumented workers to save on labor expenses.
And he probably screams against "Obamacare", while having his family on ACA.

I’ve been saying that too. While Biden was POTUS republican governors like Greg Abbott & Ron DeSantis were falling over each other to put migrants on planes to “blue” area destinations like DC, NYC, Martha’s Vineyard, etc. Now that Trump is sending people out of the country, they got quiet.

How are all of these big companies hiring undocumented workers? I have to prove I am a citizen or a green card holder to work anywhere. I understand how the undocumented entrepreneurs keep working and I feel like if you come here and start a successful company we should help you stay.

In Ottumwa, Iowa, a very red state, they are rounding up workers from meat packing plants. These are white people folks.
That’s also because undocumented folks still get counted in the census. Red States want to maintain their advantage while taking Blue states population. More population, more congressional representation.
In fairness Florida and Texas have had their share of raids.

I read a story the other day that ICE raided a meat processing plant in Nebraska and arrested 40% of the workers. The owner, a registered Repub but voted for Harris held a board meeting to discuss their production being way down and only 2 people applied for work. The trainers were arrested as well

The most important thing to realize is that they don’t see hypocrisy as a bug, but as a feature. They revel in it. It makes them feel immune and untouchable. Accusing them of hypocrisy makes us feel good, but it actually makes them feel better.
