I have never been canvassed in my entire 51 years of life. I *did* get a GOP mailer stuck in my gate once a couple years ago. I've been a democrat since 1991
I've been unaffiliated since I was 18. I got a call for a job interview at a Republican something something a couple years ago intended for "Josh". I told them I wasn't "Josh", and we hung up. Five minutes later I got a call from a different person, also looking for "Josh".
I told the second person I wasn't "Josh", to stop calling me, and that I'd be blocking their number because I was very busy at work, and they were being very disruptive. We hung up. I've wondered ever since, did they eventually find "Josh"?
The kinda funny part is that they had the gall to suggest that I really was Josh and I was confused. Typical RepubliKKKans telling people what to think.
When I got a new cell phone back in the late 90's, the phone # they gave me had belonged to a car salesman before me & I got CONSTANT calls for this guy. Just an insane amount. Once I started asking questions, I contacted the car lot & whoo boy, it was a whole thing. Turns out, he'd been fired...
YEARS ago, for fraud, embezzlement, sexual harassment (he was having sex with female customers IN the cars on the back lot for discounts!!!) But he was STILL making business cards & handing them out?!? And my phone logs wound up helping them make him cease & desist. He didn't even have a new job
He was just flashing business cards with MY phone number & the car lot that had pressed charges on him, because that's how much of a weasel he is. When I started telling people who called me this info, the calls started dying off. Still got random ones for years. But not multiple daily.
I think the cell phone company charged you $ to change your number, & I'm both stubborn & didn't want to have to change my number & have a thing about people getting the justice they deserve, so helping ensure this entitled prick STFU was my civic duty, you know? I didn't want him to get the # back
I'm sure a therapist would have field day with my entire line of thinking & actions. But. I just won't mention it to mine. ;D

What are his policy positions? Why the fuck are democrats concerned so willing to fall for this folksy crap without knowing who pays these people and what they want to accomplish.

Experts on Genocide would disagree with your vibes, but you choose which genocide you care about. Trump has tried to cut off weapons, held back on weapons, weakened their negotiating positions, and you supported that by not voting for his strongest opponent. Am I doing it right?

You don't understand politics. Trump losing the popular vote the first time motivated protesters and kept him from claiming a mandate. Winning the pop vote (albeit by a tiny margin) energized the GOP to believe they can do whatever they want. You added to that.
