In Ohio how you vote is listed on the board of election website. The only way to not have it listed is to never vote in a primary. It's a little unnerving. Frank Larose is the one that made that decision the Secretary of State.
Voted in my first primary for Biden which looking back was silly as he was obviously going to win the nom. Regretting that now.
Well I was told by the Board of Elections that if I skipped two primary votes the designation would be taken off of the public website. One, it's a form of taking away your right to vote but in reality whatever Democrat won I would be voting for in the November election. It just still pisses me off.

Absolutely, allowing the DOJ to access partisan voter data is a dangerous precedent. Decisions about investigations should never hinge on political affiliation. Accountability and independence are critical.

You have to register a party affiliation to vote in the primaries. It's a design feature of the system. Many people are registered in whichever party is the majority their district, regardless of belief, so they get a say in that primary.
They have also asked the Canadian government for info on Canadians. Fuck that.
