Do you have experience using reusable rubber gloves for household cleaning?

Yes, although only for the bathroom, so I feel weird using them elsewhere. Yes, I know that’s not rational

what if you get like Different Gloves for Everywhere Else like they make rubber gloves with different patterns and stuff and maybe that'd help make them mentally distinct?

I hear ya. Would it make a difference if you had a similar type of hand covering, but it looked different and was made of different materials. Something that comes to mind is a waterproof pair of machine washable work gloves

It might. I’m going to try dishwashing gloves for the kitchen

Have you thought about medical gloves?

Disposable ones? I use those for the bathroom now. My therapist would probably say I shouldn’t use gloves at all.

Why not a pair of fabric gloves? Or Gardener's gloves? Depending on the cleaning. Or maybe just work on the mentality that if you're working directly with chemicals or dirt you need the gloves. I'm probably ADD. I don't think I'm OCD. Just my insight. Hope it helps.

Actually that's very rational cross-contamination is a thing you should have two sets of gloves one for the kitchen and one for the bathroom. I don't use gloves, because I'm an avid hand washer and for the most part don't use harsh chemicals to clean, but if I did I would have two sets.

I have a few pairs and use them while doing dishes, wiping down counters, even sweeping the floors. You can throw ‘em in the dishwasher afterwards or just get disposables. I also wear a mask when cleaning the bathroom or cleaning kitty litter. Also try to plan cleaning before shower time.

Oh god I could never handle a litter box. It’s not the poop as much as the urine smell

Yeah it’s rough for me. I usually wear a long sleeve, mask, and gloves. I put the box right next to the back door of my apartment just so I can open it while I’m cleaning and let fresh air in. I have a deep fear of germs especially since covid started.
