I get that many are upset about the US strike. There are some good reasons to argue that this might have been a mistake (as there are good reasons to argue the opposite). I do however think that comparisons to Iraq 2003 are totally uncalled for. This is not a ground war. Iraq is not Iran.
I wasn't offering a precise comparison, only noting the last time we started a war, a senior US official was wildly optimistic about how long it would last. This isn't over yet. We don't know if we were successful. Iran has not yet responded. When it does, I doubt will Trump will do nothing.
