I think the fireman that died was collateral damage. They didn’t plan on it happening but they were not particularly concerned about it either.

Lots of people i know think he was scratched on the way down to the ground and the fact that he's on blood thinners made the wound bleed more than it would for a regular person. That makes more sense to me than him getting shot
