Sorry. I know it's coming out of nowhere, but I was confronted with a random video of a tradwife saying stay at home moms should get paid for their daily chores.

They get paid in food and a home to live in at a minimum. What else they asking for?
It makes sense if you recall "traditionally" the husband controls all finances. So she wants money of her own that isn't controlled by her husband, I assume
I mean, I agree that keeping a home is fucking work but like.... paid by whomst?
I'll even oushback and say it IS a job, and thats why it needs room made for it in the business world, cause its a job everyone has to do and no one who works has time for, but like... paid by who?
It also sadly is not something that can be put on a resume and help with job searching. :/ If you took time off to SAHP, most employers see it as a gap on your resume cause you weren't earning income. -_-;
Yeah, and I hate the whole "gap in your resume being bad" thing too. Like what the hell business is it of yours what I did for that period of time? Fuck off. This is a grocery store teller position.
Lol, tradwife influencers almost all have maids doing much of their work for them anyway. 🤣
That's called UBI, they're so close to getting it
En fait, c'est à la base une revendication féministe qui demande à ce que la charge des obligations domestiques soit reconnue comme du travail. Car c'est comme un second job non-payé pour le parent qui a la charge parentale et du ménage.
