👏 Yup!! I try to remind people how few cases *actually* make it to the Supreme Court. People are rightfully angry & calling for reform - but they shouldn’t be defeated!!Lawyers are in court all day, every day, and lower court judges are the ones ruling on questions of the utmost importance to us,
Thx! I know SCOTUS takes a tiny % of cases, but they pick the ones that will move the country in whatever direction the most radical ones want . . . Alito & Thomas scare the crap out of me . . . feels like those 2 want to reverse the 20th century . . . so that only the wealthy get a say . . . 😡
Absolutely agree. It’s unfair we’re crossing our fingers hoping those two (Thomas/Alito) don’t have enough votes from the other nightmare justices on the bench. It’s a scary thought. Like, “I wonder who’s feeling racist and sexist today? As long as it’s not a majority!” is not comforting! 🤦🏻♀️
with such care - still following the rule of law, protecting rights, and then quickly producing these weighty - but impeccable - opinions w precise, methodical analysis, in the hope their decisions (and remedies!) will withstand appellate review. Often, they do! We don’t even bother w SCOTUS 😀
