And just like that, with both kids off to college, we’re officially empty nesters. Trying not to get too emotional in a quiet house! #allthefeels

Some advice that sounds ridiculous but I found helpful: if you are feeling sad they're gone, pretend they are in their bedroom. Also, congrats on being unsupervised!

For me, it was weird no longer having to feed anybody or “need” to go do activities - so lots of time to rediscover all your hobbies. Find something to do! (Dropoff a few years later is easier and harder, oddly.)

We’re already trying to figure out our grocery shopping! And I’ll mostly miss the high school plays, but also not.
