That is not what was said though. If he wanted to be this specific he could have spelled it out very easily. Instead he made a general statement, with absolutely nothing to back it up. This is a rare and specific case you site, and that is not the basis for a generalized public statement in science.
I totally agree with you as does the pediatrician father of that one particular child. RFK is trying to make the giant leap and I think it is useful to know what he is trying to do.
