It is very annoying to me that you cannot argue that x person would be better than Trump without getting berated. Depending on how far left you go, you can’t even argue that Biden would have been better than Trump so… yeah if those are my only two choices I am also going with Vance

Vance's weakness is the significant lack of personality/aura. All those cosmonauts who voted for Trump the master businessman, how will they look at Vance? His rallies would be 'please clap' events.
