My new depressing mental hobby is wondering which famous speeches in history would sound 100x worse (or 100x more innocent, if the speech was evil shit) if there were tiny bits clipped out of context, since that's how EVERYTHING is interpreted now

I Have a Dream still gets clipped to make it sound like policies that specifically benefit minority groups are actually racist against white people

Right but social media clipping wasn't a thing when the speech JUST HAPPENED, that's what I'm talking about. The millions of people who can see JUST an out of context clip within like five minutes of the speech happening just to manipulate the narrative live
