yeah ikr, people are pretty damn frustrating when it comes to "how inspiration works" and that it DOES NOT MEAN they're now "the same thing" and can no longer be called an original story 🙄

Like I get that it's cool to say that Avatar is just Dances With Wolves/Pocahontas/Ferngully/The Last Samurai/A Man Called Horse/Atlantis: The Lost Empire but in space... And superficially yes, if you're looking at the wiki plot synopsis they're similar, but thematically they're all super different!
