Happy to admit i failed miserably.

I knew nothing about 4K for years. Saw them in HMV in London once and thought it was just a gimmick. A couple of years later I got a 4K tv and then started reading up on them. The rest is history 🙄
Absolutely man. There's nothing better than a good 4k remaster of some old classic. I'd highly, highly recommend both Vertigo and Peeping Tom, they're about as good as it gets.
The Hitchcocks are amazing, the best they’ll ever look. A few dodgy titles aside (due to bad mastering) most films look incredible on the format.
Yeah, I'm constantly amazed/surprised by films in 4k, some stuff I never expected. I always mention it but The Big Lebowski blew me away with how good it looks, Hard Target another one, sounds incredible.
I wish I had never started/greatest thing I have ever done.
Same here.
In a similar vein, going down the AV route to make the most of the 4k........
I have to do a complete TV/sound upgrade next year.
I would strongly advise planning everything first, rather than being impatient and doing things when bored. I of course have done the latter, and it's still really good, but definitely not the smart way to do it.
I remember watching one of the first 4Ks I bought and my brother walked into the room and said “wow! is that in 3D or something? It’s so solid looking” I knew then I was sold.
😅 Yep, I've had similar reactions from friends.
Casino is another of the primo titles, looks fucking spectacularrrrrrrr.
