It would do a little but would not solve the problem. In San Diego short term rental count is less than we build in 1 year. So even if you can return all of them to the long-term rental market, we will still need to build a ton of housing.

I am a renter who wants to see my rent and my friends' rent go down. I am not, nor have I ever been, involved in real estate, construction, or whatever else goes under "developer."
