Really pleased with the loans we’re arranging - need to see integration next year though so that we can demonstrate a pathway. This should have happened three years ago & then two years ago & now we should be starting to see integration but it’s understandable that Frank isn’t ready to do that rn.

Honestly think that so long as our managers know they're only likely to be in the job for a couple of years, they're not going to be focused on integrating academy players.

You can't blame Frank if this is his view. The precedent was set when MP was replaced by JM and has been repeated ever since.

Historically, Spurs are really bad at bringing players through from the age groups and now the academy.

Yes, I wouldn't blame Frank at all. Think the problem is managers getting too many mixed messages from above and, as you say, constant change of managers.

It has to be built into their KPIs and they have to be both judged against that performance and supported through it

On Donley specifically, I assume the intention is that Robins will be implementing a more progressive, possession-based style at Stoke, and Donley should be at the centre of that.

Presumably, he passed the long throw audition with flying colours as well.

Who’d have thought that would have been at Spurs, not Stoke

I agree. Robins did such good things at Coventry and was unfairly sacked there. Donley has a great opportunity to rip it up. Windy is right. The loans, this year, seem more like good fits for the players to develop rather than just salary dumps/ playing time. Which is good. We need them to develop.

Agreed. They all seem to make sense. Only thing I hope is we have recall options in case of another injury crisis!
