Full transparency, I was overwhelmed by the state of our nation this morning and had a good cry. On my walk, I saw a bald eagle and I’m taking that as a sign.

I saw one in Midway Utah about 3 weeks ago. There's a lot here in Utah. But you don't always see them in residential areas like this. It is indeed a sign of better things to come. 💙

Take heart. MANY people feel upset and frustrated and angry about the state of things. Here’s what you can do: Take a walk every day. Focus on your blessings during the walk. When you get home, allow yourself an hour to make phone calls, send emails, etc. Then go do something ELSE. It will help!

That’s alright. I mostly wanted to share because I did think it was interesting. Otherwise, they can still be important to watch. Animals respond to the world just like we do. Migration patterns and temperament can warn about oncoming weather, for instance.

That was probably a bald eagle headed north to exile in Howe Sound, BC Canada, where he will consort with his thousands of cousins - numberless Canadian bald eagles and golden eagles. They are everywhere you look here.

Getting out into nature is a soothing balm. Especially in springtime. I didn’t leave my house for 5 weeks after the election because I was grieving for all the horrors to come. But I am encouraged now by others. We’re in this together! Cheers. 💙🦋
