It's probably superfluous to say this, but Brazil has better separation of powers than the US. President Lula cannot order the Supreme Court to stop investigating Bolsonaro.

The conservatives in Brazil turned on Bolsonaro. If the conservatives turned on Trump in the US, we would be in a different place. Brazil had coups before. We in the US are new to this and too damn greedy. We will get there after a lot of pain.

I also wonder if Trump had contact with Bolsonaro before writing this letter. Judge Alexandre de Morães will not like this kind of interference in criminal proceedings.
