Struggling to not go under. I Forgot about getting ahead, it’s been so long.
It will really be in play if the farmers finally turn on him. So expect Trump to push hard for $$ for them. Just like first term. They know his game and will support him as long as he shows them the $$
The “farmers” are almost all landlords. Most actual farmers in Iowa are tenants or migrant farm workers. Even the 4th Congressional district tops out at something like 20% agriculture and its support services economically. So when you see “Iowa farmer,” read “MAGA theocratic Nazi who lives in town.”
Iowa is historically purple. It was pretty blue for the first few years after I moved here in 2000, went for Obama twice. I'm pleased to see that Iowans are waking up again. Ernst got her seat on a flood of Koch money, but she's never been very popular.
That's why they are pushing so hard to take away our right to have our votes counted.
There is already at least one candidate in the race that polls ahead of Ernst, and it's a different guy.

I was born and raised in Iowa. They are purple at best. Anecdotally, based on the statements from the farmers my dad has coffee with every morning, Iowa will be solid blue in the next election.
