I figured it out around about high school.
I assumed it was purgatory.. Wishy-washy kind of limbo.
Depends how the other kids treated you, I guess.
From what I remember I was treated pretty okay.. I mean, considering I may be neurodivergent, not too bad.
I was not. I was definitely the weird kid; even if I hadn't been ND, my hippie parents did everything they could to set me apart from the other kids.
Oh, I mean.. I was 'weird' but I wasn't targeted or anything.. Unless I was completely oblivious to it. Children can be arseholes at the best of times, it's not an easy time.. Until puberty of course which is much worse. Then adulthood.. Which is.. Oof..
I'm on the record as accepting irregardless as an emphatic colloquialism.
I will not. There are a few malapropisms I find ticklesome and worthy of continued use; 'irregardless' is not one of them.
