In all seriousness...what's the difference, in your mind, between "being lazy" and "working smarter, not harder"? Honest question.

The second case is an intended outcome from the work. The first case is the intended outcome relies on NO work. I don't really find either method "better."
The line blurs. IMHO the difference lies in the quality of the work accomplished. Is the job well done as well as fast then it’s working smarter. I call it ethical laziness because laziness is my motivator
I once told my boss-boss-boss... (one of the co-CEOs) that my goal was to have everything running so smoothly that I can just sit out on the deck and watch the world pass by. Being lazy requires no effort. Working smarter requires up front effort to get you to a place where can be "lazy".
Good answer. 😊👍 So, accomplishing the same goal using easier/faster methods which produce results at similar or better quality while expending less effort...that's working smarter, aye? Cuz I feel as though the people who inspired this question think that "effective short-cut" = "lazy".
Yeah, I would consider that working smarter. Another thought about being lazy is doing just enough to avoid getting fired.
I answered. Don't know why you posted this twice 😭
Cuz I wanted the opinions of other people, too, actually. It's an interesting question...one you haven't really answered, actually.
