Do we really need new iPhones, iPods, and Apple watches every year?

I think a lot can be explained what the encom ceo says in tron legacy (and a quote that pops up every time a major release is happening): "this year we put a 12 on the box" youtu.be/Qeh3E67brBs
Yes, next question
Your love of Apple products is near legendary at this point, I always enjoy your takes on it 🤣
I only toned it down like 1000x times this year out of respect for the victims of the genocide.
The famous six pack purchases 😎
Got to keep the children at work.
every fifth has worked for me
I meant in general, not individually.
Not here. Still iPhone XR. Hoping it lasts long enough until they make and sell refurb SEs or minis.
I’m still on iPhone SE 2nd Gen, previously owned iPhone 6s I switch to iPhone SE only because of battery issues with previous iPhone This is my so far second iPhone that I own and can’t really find arguments to replace it
Still using iphone8 and used iPhone6s for quite a while… some websites work ok as PWA. Wish industry invested more in circular economy of software, reuse ♻️, super LTS releases like 10+ years support with low updates 🌈 its challenging from user perspective 🌱 but possible!
I completely agree.
As @migueldeicaza.bsky.social says every year this time "If it's good enough for Jesus, it's good enough for me" No idea what that means, I can only afford Redmis
If number doesn't go up how would we tell we are achieving success?
No
