Seems wild to me every time I hear someone accuse the BBC of having a left wing bias. They have a Tory stooge as the director. Which is to say - that sounds more like an excuse rather than a reason.

They don’t have one Tory stooge either. Davie is a Tory. Gibb is a Tory. Turness’ husband is a Tory. Shah was part of the rigged Sewell report. Labour should have started removing them day one.
Unfortunately the Tory policy and Labour policy seem to align quite closely these days.
Should also have started Leveson 2. A cynical person might think they want this 😮💨
And the rest. Reform media ownership in the UK so that shareholders in news outlets must be 100% UK tax resident, and no person or company can own more than 1% of an outlet. Then make editors legally liable for what they print, and required to give corrections more prominance than the original.
☝️👏👏Again I would have it seems incorrectly assumed that Lisa Nandy would be addressing this.
Political interference, on day one? A difficult charge to reject. Mr Starmer behaves as if he has done a deal with the Evil One (Rupert Murdoch), so the simple explanation is that he has. The fear of not getting re-elected must really sharpen the mind. Announcing Leveson 2? Courageous.
As I've replied elsewhere on the thread, every accusation is an admission for the right.
