Great reminder. Also - do not listen to the pseudoscience junk floating around right now where some MAHA people are claiming that mammograms and biopsies cause breast cancer. That is full on bullshit and that will get people killed.

Sometimes I worry that repeating this kind of thing -- even to say it's bullshit -- gives it a bit more credibility and acceptability, and introduces the idea to people who hadn't come across it before... (I didn't know people were saying this before reading this, for instance.)

That is definitely a valid concern. And I think to a general public audience I would agree. For the most part I have found users on Bluesky to be (mostly) more partial to Evidence Based Medicine and aware of a lot of the absolute junk out there right now.
