I predict it will still be noisy. Mass layoffs, high unemployment, inflation, and their cousins, homelessness, debt, and business closures, and budget shortfalls in cities and states will be painful for everyone except the most wealthy.

Yes. With abandoned pets and with survivors of backyard puppy mills. It’s heartbreaking. I understand that many pets are left abandoned as a result of ICE detentions, although I don’t think we have seen that locally.
