I stayed in DC 30 + years ago, visiting a friend. Loved it. Not a cat-in-hells chance I would visit the US now. I would even avoid connective flights. Many US army personnel deployed here have said they don't want to go back, either. I'm sorry for the decent folk caught up in this nightmare.
