Except in Venezuela it is solely about grabbing the countries oil and had they wanted to target Mexican cartels, they could actually do it but they never do it.

The cartels are terrible for mexico for many reasons. Ending their potency would be awesome. But I would hate to see Mexican civilians hurt by American forces. And I don't believe this is about the cartels.
