Well it has worked, but just for them. Which has always been the point. They describe it like a Champaign tower - fill the top glass and when it overflows, it’ll fill the others below it. What they don’t tell you is the top glass is 1,000 times bigger than the others so it never actually overflows.

Yup. The messaging. Regressives repeat and repeat the lie that they are good on the economy when, if we look at history, we see that it’s false. But the Democrats never learned from this strategy. Time for new blood to employ it and turn the Regressives on their heads.
