Congress has the constitutional authority to change the number of justices and has done so to reflect the growing number of federal judicial circuits.

This posts about the BLS, your comment seems out of context, perhaps you were responding to a different post. Regarding your response, I will point out- Now is Not the time to change or increase federal justices, not with this majority in the house and senate, not with this "administration".

Yes I was responding to a different post, who was under the impression that "packing" the court (not a postie terminology) was a bad thing under any circumstance. The proper term is "extending " the court so more districts may be represented.
