Many of the regicides fled to Connecticut after the restoration. We have our family records and have always known our descent lines. Altho’ my sister is the absolute expert on the family history and holds family letters/wills/marriage certs etc in boxes in her house.

Actually not really amazing. Once a bit of time has passed we tend to have 100s if not 1000s of descendants. Especially when you consider how many children folks often had: 14 kids, say 8 live to reproduce at an average rate of 7 living to reproduce & pretty soon, big numbers!!
