Our toddlers were getting too big for their cribs, so I spent the last couple months making them big girl beds. They were a lot of work, but it wasn’t that long ago I would have given anything for the chance to have kids to build things for. What a privilege this life is.

Mine are not as finely done as yours. I made them to being able to disassemble them for moving, but never considered resizing. The one I am doing now was one I made for myself for university and has been resized once already. When I'm done this time the only original pieces will be the bed posts.
Yeah, I'd have to remake pretty much everything outside of the four legs if I wanted these to be bigger. Which I may be motivated to do one day, but after spending ~80 hours on these things, that day is not today.
These are beautiful. Hard to believe your girls are in big girl beds. I remember the day they were born - we had a huge storm and lost power, so when I went to the community centre to pick up my son I checked X and saw the exciting news :)

Thanks. These are ash, finished with a tinted hard wax oil which essentially stained them a lot darker.
