Which reminds me: many years ago I was guest at a hangi in Rotorua. (Hāngī (Māori: [ˈhaːŋiː]) the traditional Māori method of cooking food using heated rocks buried in a pit oven.) On this occasion, with typical Māori ingenuity and improvisation the heat came from stolen NZ Railways brake blocks.
