Dude – no one is saying EtH was a terrible manager, regardless the reason. The simple point, whether it’s the brutish tactics of EtH or the perceived coddling or better treatment by Amorim doesn’t change the fact that Amorim is absolutely, 100%, I’ll-equipped for the job. He is out of his depth.

Historically, when a team is underperforming and the manager is fired, there’s usually a bump in performance under new management.
Just look at the recent past w/MANUTD when Giggs took over for Moyes, and OGS took over for Mourinho and Carrick for OGS and EtH for Rangnick and Ruud van Nistelrooy for EtH…all did better.
But Ruud van Nistelrooy to Amorim has been an abysmal failure. Your reasoning of EtH being so brutal the team has yet to recover is utter nonsense. If that were true, it speaks more to the squad than to the coaching staff.
If that were true, they should’ve rejoiced and played better and freer and Amorim last season. They did not. Why? Because Amorim is out of his depth. His SYSTEM does not work in the EPL or w/the squad he has. He is not good enough to change tactics and he is clinging to the only thing he knows.

Is it stupid or just the reality that is the way of professional sports. In case you haven’t noticed, clubs are. It in the business of coddling professional footballers. They are in the business of winning. Sadly – UTD has lost their way as they did have the right formula w/the class of ‘92.
Liverpool has also found success by building from the ground up thanks to Klop. As previously stated – there is more wrong w/UTD than Amorim, but to be clear, Amorim is not the answer and the club should not continue down this failed path.
