I've said this to a ton of other people: This is United now. It might not be fixed for a generation. Maybe never. There is no manager in the world with the magical powers to switch this off. Especially not when the dressing room is as broken as it is.

While you’re not wrong – a manager that can come in, inspire, get the most out of the players in that broken locker room so they can start to believe in themselves again and oh, I dunno, win a game would go a loooooooong way to starting the process. Amorim has proven he is not capable. Full stop.

UTD needs a complete overhaul. If it was possible to fire everyone and then start anew, I would recommend they they start there. Since that is not possible, they need to find a coach capable of getting the most from his players. I don’t know who that is, but it’s not Amorim, or EtH…

…the closest they’ve gotten to someone like that is van Nistelrooy, Carrick, OGS or Giggs. All students under Sir Alex…so, whoever the next manager is, it can’t be the next flavor of the month that’s had one good season. But hey – I hear Ted Lasso is available, so, who knows…hope springs eternal.

Mourinho and van Gaal were the super star managers they tried that trick with. But, it doesn't work like that any more. Players are in charge, not managers. Best hope for United is that the academy manages to produce a dominant core, shutting down the noise. Anything is possible, albeit unlikely.

Right – which is what Liverpool was able to create under Klop. In order to do this, UTD needs a strong and skilled manager to oversee this process as well as a supportive front office – not some guy appointed by a billionaire neither of which have any actual football knowledge or understanding.

Amorim definitely is trying a solution. from what I can see, he's tried to look at where the divides are and bluntly tried to cut that out. Will it work? Probably not. But you claiming he isn't doing anything is stereotypically trollish, at best.

I am not saying he isn’t doing anything. What I am saying is: What he is doing – his “system” has not and is not working. He’s hard headed and sticking w/it and has continually failed. He is the worst manager (statistically) in UTDs history.

At that point, it doesn’t much matter if you’re able to get the squad to sit around in a circle holding hands singing Kumbaya. Amorim has not proven himself adept to changing styles or best utilizing the players he has. He’s continually tried to fit square pegs in round holes to fit his system.

If you want my subjective analysis of where it went wrong, it was when MUST started hammering in "Glazers out". That eventually turned into a cop-out for anyone failing, especially when Fergie retired. After that, players "knew" they'd get away with anything, as managers and Glazers are the excuse.

Yes – solely pointing to front office management or ownership as the sole reason for UTDs failures is short sited…however, when 2/3 of the trinity don’t seemingly have the teams best interest in mind or do their best to provide solutions to allow for them to perform their best, it does not help.
