“Normal” is very subjective, considering the fact that the majority of countries are not as privileged. We need to think about what the definition of “normal” means and how the rest of the world is dealing with it.

Sure, “normal” is subjective. For me a normal country has democracy and freedom of speech. A not normal country jails and torture opposition and hang people from cranes, such as Iran and Russia.

I really hate to break it to you, but the US has been acting just as you described the past 6 months. There are thousands of articles at this point to prove how we have definitely taken that direction and that the US is no longer a “normal” country under context. Normal is Canada, or even Mexico now
