Garners position is next to Gana..no doubt about that. However he does suffer from being very good when asked to do a job and I think he will be known as a utility player..but that is such a shame because when he gets a run of games in midfield he is very very good. Victim of versatility.
He was decent on the wing too.
Seen it happen with a few players now: Ben Godfrey was one..he could have been amazing but he was played everywhere.
Technically better than Godfrey. Ben was a big unit, an athlete but nothing more. Couldn’t pass and very poor positional awareness.
