The problem is this, I’m retired so no skin off my nose, but a great many are barely living paycheck to paycheck. American corporations and business interests are heartless at best. It would work if people believed they could go back afterward, but truth is, they know they would be fired immediately
Easier for individuals, but when one’s family depends upon one’s livelihood, (and if fired, one cannot collect unemployment insurance), then one cannot feed the family nor pay the rent, bills or mortgage. People here are hesitant to do that, but it appears to be looming in any case.
I sincetely wish all of the US the best, but from here in the North, we are watching it all slip away. The rest of the planet is actively working against you (The US)... Not sure what the tipping point will be, but I thought it would be sooner than this.
Keep up the good work. Too many were too apathetic to believe it would ever happen to us. We allowed one third of the country, the Red states, the bigots, the haters, and the ultra wealthy to win. Our LEFT also refused to vote because of perceived Gaza issues. So now we have a despot in power.
