I guess I just miss back when they had to at least try to cover up their sins a little. Now they hold press conferences and send out notifications when they shit all over the constitution... like it's not just ok, but great. It's like we are living in some fucked up twilight zone.

The thing to remember here is that the fascist wing has taken over the GOP. The MAGA embody that extreme and they are in control. They WANT to live under a dictatorship and they will openly admit to that. The base hates democracy because it gives everyone equal rights and they cannot tolerate that.

American Evangelicals panicked as their churches were drained of congregants but instead of asking why people felt disillusioned they chose the unholy matrimony of church and state so they could take the easier path of enforcing their so-called morality at the end of a combat boot.
