Luckily, Vance is despised by a lot of them as he doesn’t have the bizarre gravitas that Trump has over the MAGA. He can’t “connect” with them as well as Trump did. Vance just comes off as arrogant.

The Trump base will be irrelevant. They pretty much already are. No one in the regime gives two shits about them now that they got their foot in the door. Things will get much worse much faster once Vance takes over.
