I hope the next CEO recognizes the strength of a diverse work force and isn't afraid to say DEI will return to Target. If not, a new CEO will not be able to do anything more.

Honestly can't remember the last time I went to Target. Our local one is a dump and overpriced to boot.

This makes me sad. They still employ a lot of LGBTQ+ people and it's the only place my son feels safe when shopping. Many of his friends have jobs there. I get being mad at the corporation for changing their public stance, but at our local Target, they still provide a safe space.

They aren't closing stores. YET

It's not the closing of the stores, it's the "throwing out the baby with the bathwater" comments from people who don't understand how boycotts are hurting those they think they're helping. Our local store might have publicly taken down displays, but they quietly provide LGBTQ+ jobs and support.

I don't know what's happening in other communities. I can only comment on what's happening in our local store, so take my comments with a grain of salt. I know it mostly depends on the management of each store. Ours is managed by good people.
