Northwest Passage - Stan Rogers (1981): The fourth album from Rogers, it was heavily focused on the life and history of the Canadian West. It was his last album released before his sudden death on June 2. 1983. It featured his iconic song Northwest Passage.
Moving Pictures - Rush (1981): The eighth album from Rush, it continued their move to radio-friendly songs. The singles Limelight, Tom Sawyer and Vital Signs were all hits. It went #1 in Canada and #3 in the USA and UK. It sold 5.5 million copies and earned a Grammy nomination.
I saw them perform this album in its entirety a decade ago in Irvine, California. Amazing!
