has the workspace down the side which is nearly the same thing unless your project is very large

I am a savage accustomed to MATLAB and so all my files (I basically never write anything so big it makes sense to split) start out named tempYYYYMMDD until they are promoted to posterity. Why must I change this to accommodate a damn IDE FFS
