we have little to no cell coverage in our little neck of the woods. as long as i can remember, our devices pinpointed us in a town about 15 miles south of where we actually are. since yesterday, google suddenly knows that i'm "near" the town i actually live in. how did this happen?

not that i noticed, but the landscape isn't flat so i wouldn't notice unless i drove out to hunt it down. if a new cell tower were the case, wouldn't we also have cell service in the house? it's making me feel anxious...like the yamtits regime is improving survaillancej.

Check that: It seems Starlink has made a deal with T-Mobile in the US (and seemingly only T-Mobile as of yet) to provide certain cell functionality through it's space based satelites, so if you use T-Mobile that's a possibility
