You're right. "Official policy" might be me giving more credit to their abilities for consistency than is fair. I agree that they are very much like a crime syndicate, specifically mob-like despotic rule of an autocratic dictator: all that is against their wish-of-the-moment is a treasonous crime.

Now, if our elected officials will have the stones to push back, and to hold them accountable to the Constitution, we might still have a country.
