Seems you may be using a different definition of the phrase β€œpoint of view” than a common one. So and so is a bad president and should not be one is absolutely a point of view, even if it lacks some nuance or implied arguments.

It's less that it's not a point of view and more that it's nothing new. People have been saying that since 2015. I know I sure as hell have been. It's a true statement, but that doesn't make it super effective. Why is it suddenly important now that Newsom is doing it? Seems like forced praise ngl.

People seems to be reacting to this version differently than they did to previous versions. What substantive long term impact that has, if any, it is probably too soon to know.

The problem with using that as a metric is that we already know PR firms are able to influence perception of public opinion, and Newsom has plenty of reason to have hired a firm in order to artificially boost his approval online, especially following the podcast betrayals
